Just recently I was browsing through some of the weddings I've photographed and while I've posted a few blog posts along the way and posted links to some of the wedding websites I've created for my couples, I thought it would be helpful if my work could be viewed all in one place - other than my main website. So I've taken the liberty of creating a slideshow which showcases some of my favourite wedding images to date. Highfield Park Wedding Photography: Carly & Mark
Carly and Mark met whilst working together in the Navy but they were destined to be more than just colleagues. One night whilst off duty, Mark decided to share his impression of Moby Dick with the crew (I will leave it for you to work out just what was involved!) - Naturally Carly was smitten. She fell hook, line and sinker for her fellow sailor. In June this year, Carly and Mark were married at Highfield Park in Hampshire and it was an honour to be invited to photograph their very stylish and glamorous wedding. Carly looked beautiful and her girlfriends proved to be very entertaining when it came to throwing the bouquet - or trying to catch it. A Folkestone Engagement Shoot: Steph & Keith
Steph contacted me last year after she came across the wedding photographs of Katy and Jim online and when I read the enthusiastic email she sent, I knew was going to like her. I finally met Steph and her fiancé Keith on Sunday when we drove to Folkestone to meet them for their complimentary engagement shoot and I have to say, they are two of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. They were so friendly, fun and enthusiastic and I really am looking forward to their big day. Incidentally, Keith is a web designer and so I was thrilled when he said how much he loves my main website. I think there's a huge benefit to meeting couples before the wedding, visiting the wedding venue and sharing ideas about possible photo opportunities which is why I offer this service. Hampshire Wedding Venues: The Legacy Botleigh Grange Hotel
The Legacy Botleigh Grange Hotel near Southampton is ideally situated just one mile from Junction 7 of the M27 motorway and just one hours drive from London. As you approach the grand entrance of the Botleigh Grange Hotel there are two fields either side of the long driveway where magnificent Highland Cattle graze freely. Directly in front of you stands the impressive Botleigh Grange Hotel - a traditional building with beautiful gardens, two lakes and a spa. Hampshire Engagement Shoot: Carly & Mark
Carly and Mark have hired me to photograph their wedding at Highfield Park in June and I'm really looking forward to it. As part of all my wedding photography packages I offer a complimentary engagement or pre wedding shoot which gives us an opportunity to get to know each other better and also helps my couples to relax in front of the camera. It helps the photography to run more smoothly on the wedding day because we've spent time together beforehand and you've had a practise run at posing in front of the camera. You also get to choose your favourite image from the engagement/pre wedding shoot which will be professionally printed and mounted ready for your guests to write comments on at your wedding. Ideally I would have waited until the weather warmed up a bit for Carly and Mark's engagement shoot but Mark's job is taking him abroad for six months, right up until the wedding so we put our coats on and headed for Southsea seafront in Hampshire. Lainston House Wedding: Ricky & Louise
On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Ricky and Louise at Lainston House in Hampshire. Ricky and Louise make a lovely couple but it wasn't love at first sight... they worked in the same office for a while but Louise thought Ricky was lazy and Ricky thought Louise was Miss Goody Two Shoes! It's no secret that they didn't really like each other and it wasn't until new management moved into the offices and shook things up a bit that love began to blossom. One day whilst moving furniture at work, Ricky and Louise started flirting with each other and it wasn't long before Ricky plucked up the courage to ask Louise out on a date... this date led to many more dates, a lovely baby boy and and a beautiful wedding. Saturday was absolutely gorgeous, Ricky and Louise were certainly blessed by the weather gods with bright blue skies and sunshine. Rhinefield House Hotel Hampshire Wedding Photography
Yesterday evening I met with clients at Rhinefield House Hotel. It was lovely walking around the grounds in the evening sun and I thought I would share a couple of photos I took of the venue. Rhinefield is a country house set deep in the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, among tall conifers and scented pines. This grand luxury hotel in Hampshire blends Tudor and Gothic, old and new, romantic and eccentric and looks exquisite sat amongst the trees with its steeply pitched roof, redbrick chimneys and leaded windows.
