Valentine’s Meal

Valentines Meal Photography

Ok, so I don't cook very often... something to do with a lack of time... but I like to think I'm a pretty good cook when I need to be. I come from a family of amazing cooks on my mother's side... my nan and my great aunt whose family home was in Ireland, packed their bags and headed for England when they were employed by Lords and Ladies who resided at places such as Eton Place in Belgravia, London and Yeovilton in Somerset. They also worked for Lady Londonderry at Mount Stewart in Northern Ireland. My nan had six children and we used to visit her every Saturday afternoon at her home in Southampton, Hampshire where she would cook up a feast for us all... completely home made with fresh ingredients. You can't beat home made cooking. My mum, along with her brothers and sisters are all great cooks - I'm sure they should have opened a restaurant somewhere along the line. Anyway... since it was Valentine's day yesterday I decided to go that extra mile and cook a meal - from scratch... no … [Read more...]

Photographs at Lulworth Cove in Dorset

Hampshire Photographer

Yesterday Keith and I drove to Lulworth Cove in Dorset, a place we had both been as children but had forgotten what a gem it is - until now. Before we left home I grabbed my old CD case ... I thought a few tunes from my early 20s would be fun to listen to on the drive down to the coast... so between gasps I played DJ... first off was Rhianna: 'A Girl Like Me'. I really like this CD... a great mix of upbeat tempo tracks and slower melodies. We stopped at a petrol station along the way for … [Read more...]

Seaside Wedding in Folkestone Kent

Kent Wedding Photography

On Saturday 25th September we got up extra early and drove to Folkestone for the fun and quirky wedding of Katy and Jim. Katy found me on Rock n Roll Bride and was very excited when I emailed her to say I was available to provide wedding photography for her special day.... in fact she screeched so loud she scared her cat! Katy and Jim's wedding has to be one of the most fun and interesting weddings we have had the privilege to photograph and their artistic personalities shone through in every detail... Katy spent many evenings making felt flower broaches for all of the guests (and photographers) to wear, sewing each one by hand... she even made her own bouquet of felt flowers! Complete with brightly coloured bunting and a retro camper van as the wedding car, this wedding rocked from start to finish. I would like to thank Katy and Jim and their friends and family for making us feel so welcome, they offered us food and drinks in abundance, asked if we were happy and whether they … [Read more...]
